Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lbs Extra Lean Ground Beef
  • 3/4 Yellow Onion
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp Smart Balance Butter
  • 3 Tbsp Flour
  • 3/4 cup Water
  • 3/4 cup No Salt Added Ketchup
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp Dry Mustard
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp Cider Vinegar
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp Brown Sugar
  • 3 Bay Leaves
  • 6 Quality Hamburger Buns
  • 24 Tamed Jalapeno Slices
  • 9 oz Terras Sea Salt Sweet Potato Chips
  • 6 Fuji or Gala Apples
  • No Salt Added Salt & Pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Finely chop onions.
  2. Add onions and ground beef to a frying pan (that has a lid) over medium high heat. Add salt & pepper to taste as you brown the ground beef.
  3. When beef is browned, reduce heat to medium. Add butter, flour, water, ketchup, and dry mustard.
  4. Next add cider vinegar, brown sugar, and bay leaves.
  5. Simmer for 5-6 minutes on medium low heat covered with the lid. Stir every couple of minutes.
  6. Remove tamed jalapenos from refrigerator and add to small serving bowl. Add buns to a serving plate.
  7. Rinse and cut apples.
  8. We recommend topping your BBQ sandwich with the jalapenos. Serve with sweet potato chips & apples.
